Who We Are

IAMIBS.org

IAMIBS.org ("IAMIBS") is a trademark of the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders ("IFFGD"). IFFGD is a public charity designated under the U.S. IRS code 501(c)(3). The foundation is a nonprofit education and research organization dedicated to informing, assisting, and supporting people affected by gastrointestinal disorders.

Our Purpose

IAMIBS Community

The impact of IBS is social, economic, and personal. It's a community challenge that requires community solutions. Our purpose is to recognize those challenges and facilitate solutions.

The IAMIBS Community expands the definition of those "affected by IBS" to include all of those affected directly or indirectly by IBS, such as: sufferers, family members, friends, coworkers, employers, educators, insurers, healthcare professionals, regulators, elected officials, researchers, manufacturers, and community businesses.

Who Supports Us

This Site is independently created and maintained by IFFGD. One of the ways we sustain this effort is through community support. We seek support from donors that may include: individuals, companies, foundations, charitable trusts, associations and others. These donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

We identify our Site supporters. (Individuals have the option of remaining anonymous.) Companies, foundations, and associations are identified by their legal or recognized name. These acknowledgments are in recognition of support and are non-promotional. IAMIBS.org reserves the right to refuse funding support for any reason.

Funding contributions that meet established criteria may be recognized with additional reserved space on the Site designated as Support Recognition Areas. Support Recognition Areas are reserved for Community Supporters and for Underwriters.

Community Supporters and Underwriters are third-parties that voluntarily contribute funds to support IAMIBS.org. Details on becoming a Community Supporter or Underwriter are available by request emailed to: support.request@IAMIBS.org or by contacting IFFGD. General information about becoming a Community Supporter or Underwriter may be found in our Support Policy.
